How Mimao Shop built a strong visual identity to grow and establish itself as a leading footwear brand in Spain


Mimao Shop is a made-in-Spain footwear brand with a clear proposition from the start: modern design, comfort, and quality at a reasonable price. However, as happens with many growing projects, the brand perception was not aligned with the true value of the product.

Visually, the brand lacked a defined style and clear coherence across its website, social media, and campaigns. This resulted in:


  • Difficulty differentiating in a highly competitive market.

  • Low brand recognition.

  • Reduced trust from the end user.

  • Modest online sales results.


The challenge was not to produce more content, but to rethink how Mimao should look to start selling and being remembered.

The main objective was ambitious but realistic: to boost sales for an almost unknown brand through a distinctive, coherent, and appealing product image.


To achieve this, it was necessary to:

  • Define a clear and recognizable visual identity

  • Create a style that worked for all collections, not just a single campaign

  • Connect with a broad audience (men and women aged 18 to 65)

  • Build a solid visual foundation that could scale over time


In other words, to create a visual system, not an isolated photoshoot.


The strategy: building identity through product imagery


At FotoProStudio, we approached the project as a visual branding effort applied to e-commerce, understanding product photography as a strategic tool within the business.

Visual concept and style guide

The first step was to define a visual language that complemented the product without competing with it:

  • Neutral backgrounds, allowing the different color ranges of the footwear to stand out clearly.

  • Clean and bright palette, aligned with a fresh, accessible, and high-quality brand.

  • Simple and balanced compositions, where the footwear is always the protagonist.


This decision not only improved the aesthetics but also allowed the creation of a recognizable identity, consistent across the website, social media, and future launches.


On-Set production: Efficiency, control, and coherence

One of the key points of the project was to design a production that didn’t rely on improvised solutions, but on a professional and replicable workflow.


This approach allowed us to maintain quality and style throughout the campaign, optimizing time and resources.

The implementation of this visual system had a direct impact on various levels of the brand:
